Ballad: Roughout
Ballad: Roughout
In poetry, a ballad is a narrative song consisting of 4-line stanzas, or quatrains. Our Ballad cardholder uses the theme of "four" just as our Quatrain, but unlike the Quatrain bifold, the Ballad is a completely flat. Boasting 4 card slots and one middle pocket for cash or receipts, the Ballad is for those who want to make the most of a simple design. Note: this Ballad uses "roughout", or the reverse side of the hide, which features the renowned tannery Walpier's stamp. It is complemented with dark red and black accents. Only one set of stamps appears per hide, so this delightful, rugged cardholder is truly 1 of 1.
Our cardholders use the finest full-grain vegetable-tanned Italian leather from Tuscany and feature skillful saddle-stitching and burnished edges. See information below for tannery ("conceria" in Italian) provenance and the colors and names of leather articles used.
