Ballad: Yellow Violet

In poetry, a ballad is a narrative song consisting of 4-line stanzas, or quatrains. Our Ballad cardholder uses the theme of "four" just as our Quatrain, but unlike the Quatrain bifold, the Ballad is a completely flat. Boasting 4 card slots and one middle pocket for cash or receipts, the Ballad is for those who want to make the most of a simple design.

 Note: this Ballad combines two of our favorite Italian veg tan leathers, Buttero and Pueblo. The soft and fragrant violet Pueblo will develop quick and noticeable patina, reacting almost immediately to your uses, while the firm and smooth yellow Buttero provides contrast in both color and texture. Buttero will also patina, darkening over time, but not as quickly as the Pueblo. This is a combination that we are really in love with.

Our cardholders use the finest full-grain vegetable-tanned Italian leather from Tuscany and feature skillful saddle-stitching and burnished edges. See information below for tannery ("conceria" in Italian) provenance and the colors and names of leather articles used.
