Volta: Roughout
Volta: Roughout
In poetry, sonnets often conclude with a fun and unexpected reversal of the original thought. This switch, or turn, is called a "volta" in Italian. The turn serves as inspiration for our Volta design, where cards are stored on the front and the back.
The Volta is a minimalist, 3-slot cardholder, perfect for the front pocket. A single, hand-stitched line gives this holder durability and class. The Volta will comfortably hold 1-3 cards per slot and a small sum of twice-folded cash; perfect for minimalist carry or a night on the town.
Our cardholders use the finest full-grain vegetable-tanned leather from Tuscany and feature skillful saddle-stitching and burnished edges. See information below for tannery ("Conceria" in Italian) provenance and the colors and names of leather articles used. Note: This Volta features the back side of veg tan leather, called "roughout", in order to feature the famous Walpier tannery stamp. There is only one stamp per hide, so this Volta is truly 1 of 1. Expect a rugged patina with a mixture of dark tones and raised fibers.
